Malayalam actor Anil Nedumangad, best known for his roles in Ayyappanum Koshiyum, Kamattipaadam and Paavada, drowned in Malankara Dam in Thodupuzha on Friday. He had stepped into the Malankara Dam to take a bath with his friends.
The actor’s remains are in a private hospital and are being taken to the morgue of Thodupuzha General Hospital.
Nedumangad was in Thodupuzha to make a film starring Joju George.
After his time on television as a presenter and producer, Anil Nedumangad made his film debut with Njan Steve Lopez in 2014. He played in films such as Pavada, Kammatti Paadam, Kismath, Parole and Ayyappanum Koshiyum. He was most recently seen in Paapam Cheyyathavar Kalleriyatte, which was published in February of this year.
Several celebrities from the Malayalam film industry used social media to mourn the death of Nedumangad.
Prithviraj tweeted, “Nothing. I have nothing to say. I hope you are at peace, Aniletta. “
Dulquer Salmaan took to Instagram and wrote, “Heart hurts. Can’t understand that. RIP Aniletta. Prayers and strength for your family. 💔💔 ”
