Ben Affleck believes Marvel Studios is boss Kevin Feige is a “genius” and the “greatest producer” who “ever lived”. The Justice League Star knows a thing or two when it comes to superhero films, and he believes Feige will be able to deliver on his promise by releasing a new project. Affleck isn’t the only one to praise the head of Marvel Studios, as many fans of Marvel Cinematic Universe will tell you the exact same thing.
In a new interview Ben Affleck revealed that he wanted to play Batman because of his children. He was also inspired by what Zack Snyder wanted to do with the character, mostly from Frank Miller’s point of view. The interview changed gears when Affleck asked about the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Kevin Feige. Read what Affleck had to say below.
“Kevin Feige is absolutely the greatest producer, the most successful producer who has ever lived. He’s the only one in the world who, when he tells me, ‘I know what the audience wants! This is what we do!’ would believe him 100%. “
Kevin Feige was able to reinvent the superhero genre by choosing employees carefully and trusting his intuition. There have been some missteps in the MCU, but for the most part, Feige is getting the results it wants, even if Martin Scorsese and others don’t believe it. Scorsese previously compared modern superhero films to “amusement park rides”. Ben Affleck went on and raved about Feige and his empire. He explains.
“This f *** knows his audience like no producer (ever), he’s a genius. Kevin is like a ringmaster in a circus, he knows exactly how much to wink at the audience, exactly when to pull the heart and when you make the effects, how many jokes, how sensitive, how the tone is. Because socialmediagossips didn’t know that they should run away from their pajamas or hug them or take them seriously. “
Ben Affleck was once in a Marvel movie. He played in the 2003 Daredevil The movie he lamented “wasn’t a very good movie.” There aren’t many fans out there who will stand up for the film, but that was a few years before the MCU really got started in the 2008s Ironman. Regardless, Affleck is obviously a big fan of Kevin Feige, which could lead to an interesting collaboration at some point.
Marvel Studios is currently expanding large and small screens thanks to Disney +. Maybe Kevin Feige and Ben Affleck will team up for a project in the future, with Affleck either starring or leading a project. It seems like the actor is grabbing the chance to work with Marvel Studios. Whether that will happen or not can only be guessed at.
