The central government on Wednesday ordered the Tamil Nadu government to revoke its order and increase the seating capacity in cinemas from the current 50 percent to 100 percent. The Interior Ministry has issued a letter reminding the state government that it cannot water down the security protocols issued by the center.
In the letter, the state government is also requested to withdraw its order immediately in order to enable 100 percent utilization of the theater.
