Due to a previous shooting engagement, Eijaz Khan moved out of Bigg Boss 14’s house. Former candidate Devoleena Bhattacharjee will now take his place for the remainder of the season.
A source shared with socialmediagossips.com that although there were rumors that Devoleena Bhattacharjee was stepping in as Vikas Gupta’s deputy, actor Saath Nibhana Saathiya was actually invited to replace Eijaz Khan. Devoleena walked into the house on Sunday and the episode will air tonight. However, she will be isolated from other participants for a few more days until her quarantine period is over.
“Eijaz was called into the activity area and his more than 100 day trip around the house was shown as a special video. The roommates saw the same thing through the TV screen in the living area. When his departure was announced, they were shocked and tearful. Eijaz was also having a hard time saying goodbye to the show he promised to win, ”added the source.
According to reports, Eijaz Khan will be part of an upcoming big budget show. With Bigg Boss 14 slated to peak in mid-January, he had given his following dates for the project. However, when the show was extended, its schedule was mixed up. While his team tried to fix the problem, he had to retire from the show. Given his strong game and fans, the creators decided to bring in Devoleena Bhattacharjee who was able to continue his journey on the reality show. Although there is no clarity as to whether Eijaz will make a comeback or whether Devoleena will continue until the end.
Interestingly, when Devoleena Bhattacharjee had a serious back injury last season, she also had a substitute in Vikas Gupta. However, due to her health problems, she had to quit the show mid-season. This could be the actress’ way of redeeming what she couldn’t accomplish last time. Devoleena was an avid viewer of the show and regularly posts her opinion on this season on her social media pages.
