The 2017 cut of Justice League was about two hours long. In previous interviews Zack Snyder had confirmed that he had already done many additional shots for the film before leaving the project in 2017. Warner Bros. basically gave Snyder a free hand to do what he wanted to finish Zack Snyder’s Justice League according to his own personal vision, and that vision apparently extends over a four hour period. According to Deborah Snyder, the way the film was processed for its debut on HBO Max is supposed to make it easy to see the whole thing in parts.
