With all the noise the MCU makes to create a successful movie universe, socialmediagossips sometimes forget that Fast & Furious Franchise has been doing this for a long time. But after two decades of blockbusters, The quick saga is finally coming to an end. In an interview with EW, Vin Diesel, who appears in the franchise as Dom aka Dominic Toretto, confirmed that the current plan is to end things on a high level, with Fast & Furious 10 being split in two.
“Already in 2012, 2013 it was something Pablo [Walker] and I would discuss and finish on the 10th. That just always felt right. And being a part of the Marvel franchise and seeing the opportunity that you can end up with two movies when you have so much history. It was something we talked about that became real. It was just a wonderful, wonderful run, and we always imagined that 10 would be the farewell, the final, and that’s what our story works towards. “
Just because the main story ends doesn’t mean the franchise is running out of gas (ba dum tss!). The series continues with multiple spin-offs that like the world of Dom’s allies and enemies Hobbs and Shaw A sequel is planned and the all-female spin-off that focuses on the character of Letty Ortiz and is played by Michelle Rodriguez.
The fans are looking forward to the release of F9, which was to come out last year until the worldwide lockdown of theaters made its publication impossible. For more than a year, all the fans had to do was the trailer for the film. But Vin Diesel promised that the trailers and teasers are just a foretaste of what’s to come F9 finally makes it to the cinemas.
“I would say that [director] Justin [Lin] is 100 percent correct. You see a lot in the trailer, but you haven’t seen anything – and that’s exciting. It’s going to be a special day when the audience is back in the cinema and celebrating the ninth chapter of this saga to which they have remained so faithful. There is so much more and I am very excited about it [audience members] Those who want to be surprised and not know, don’t want to divulge all the secrets of this chapter, just want to go in and enjoy where we have all gone … It feels like it comes at the right time. Who knew it would be good for the theater business to postpone the film until 2021 in the sense that it will be a reason to celebrate the theater experience – and we need that. “
Directed by Justin Lim, F9 stars Vin Diesel, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel and Sung Kang with Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron and Cardi B. May. This news is coming from Weekly entertainment.
