Google will end support for the Google Wifi application in July, the organization announced to CNET. The application was used a long time ago as the control community for the first Google Wifi network switch. For now, customers should control their home organization and switch settings in the Google Home application, which now includes controls for the second-generation Nest Wifi network switching, as well as Google Assistant and Chromecast gadgets.
“We need to make it easier to manage all of your gadgets in a single place. That’s why we’ve taken Wi-Fi usefulness into the Google Home application,” said a Google representative. “Home Wifi has been consistently set up in the Google Home application. We are therefore currently offering this equivalent utility for existing Google Wifi clients.”
On May 25th, Google Wifi customers may have the option to add new gadgets or develop an up-to-date agreement using the Google Home application. At that point, in July, Google will end support for the Google Wifi application, remove it from all application ads, and ask customers to move their framework controls over to Google Home.
To do this, you must tap the icon in addition to in the upper left corner of the start screen of the Google Home application, select “Import Google Wifi network” and follow the screen guidelines. Google’s OnHub switch customers also want to move the controls to the Google Home application, Google told CNET.
The organization notes that the Google Home application has additional Wi-Fi highlights such as organizational experiences, improved remote coordination, and Google Assistant voice assistance for hands-free speed tests and organizational stops. If you also use Google Assistant or Chromecast gadgets, having a single control mark for everything seems like a decent way to reduce application swelling.
