Meet google added a new auto brightness feature to its web version to fix poor lighting on video calls. This is in addition to the low-light mode for Android and iOS users of the video calling platform that was launched last year. the new function When activated, it automatically detects poor lighting conditions and then improves the light intensity for visually better video calls.
Anyone who uses Google Meet for the web can enable the feature, and there is no administrator control over the auto brightness feature. It’s available to desktop users and even iOS users who use Google Meet for the web through their iPhone. The feature would be available to all Google Workspace customers as well as G Suite Basic and Business customers.
To enable it, people can go to the More section. walk Meet google, tap the settings options, select the video, and finally enable the Customize video light option.
Once activated, Meet google automatically increases the brightness. If it is not enabled and users are underexposed, it is recommended to turn on the video light adjustment feature.
However, the tech giant has warned that this feature can slow down the speed of your computer or laptop. Hence, users can simply disable the feature if they don’t want their PC to slow down.
The video lighting adjustment feature has already started with the introduction and will eventually be available to all users.
Recall, Meet google has started its low-light mode, which performed the same function for its iOS and Android mobile applications last year. Using artificial intelligence (AI), it automatically adjusts the brightness of the video if people are in a dark environment. A noise cancellation feature was also included to filter out background distractions for uninterrupted video calls.
