Singer Guru Randhawa, among 34 people arrested and released on bail by Mumbai police for violating COVID-19 norms at the Dragonfly Club near Mumbai Airport, said he deeply regrets the unintentional incident.
Randhawa’s team released a statement that the violation was unintentional as the singer was unaware of the nightly curfew.
“Guru Randhawa, who stepped out for dinner with close friends before returning to Delhi that morning, deeply regrets the unintentional incident that happened last night. Unfortunately, he was not aware of the local authorities’ decision on the night curfew, but he immediately complied with all the rules set by government officials. He promises to abide by government policies and protocols by taking every precaution in the future. He was, by far, a law abiding citizen and will continue to do so, ”reads the singer’s full statement.
In addition to Guru Randhawa, other celebrities were arrested and released on bail Cricketer Suresh Raina and Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife Sussanne Khan.
