Hamid Barkzi was declared the winner of the MTV Roadies Revolution adventure reality show on Saturday. As part of Nikhil Chinapa’s team, Barkzi beat Michael Ajay and Jayant Yadav to take home the title of winner.
The 23 year old Delhi boy, who was part of Nikhil’s team ‘Loyalty’ and started his journey as an underdog, impressed everyone with his performance in terms of duties and fair play throughout the season. He finally emerged as the winner in the final task on Saturday.
On winning the Roadies Revolution, Hamid Barkzi said in a statement: “This is one of the special moments in my life. The Roadies Revolution was instrumental in changing my attitude towards some important things in life. I’ve had my own ups and downs, but that only made me stronger to climb the ladder and emerge victorious. I cannot thank Nikhil Sir enough for this win. He fought for his team and stood by each of us every step of the way. This trip would not have been possible without the support of Rannvijay Sir and other guides, Neha Ma’am, Prince and Varun Sir, who were wonderful mentors. This is just the beginning. I’m looking forward to many more challenges and victories. “
Gang leader Nikhil Chinapa also expressed concern. He said: “To reach the final for the first time against competitors like Prince, Neha and Varun is an important win for me, Hamid and for the ‘Loyalty’ team for whom I was so lucky. The Roadies Revolution was challenging but fulfilling, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have the squad by my side during this trip. The game was pretty intense and everyone was doing their best. Hamid was an exceptional player and has grown into one of the show’s strongest competitors. “
MTV Roadies Revolution kicked off in February last year and was filmed in the villages of Rishikesh, Rupnagar and Garli before the coronavirus lockdown in March. As soon as filming resumed, the team shot the remaining episodes on the outskirts of Mumbai. This season’s celebrities included Neha Dhupia, Nikhil Chinapa, Varun Sood and Prince Narula, while Rannvijay Singha was back to host.
