If you’re a regular Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok user, you’ve likely come across a typical game ad that says or shows something like “Only 1% of people solve it” more than once spectacular pictures for a game called “Spider Rope Hero Man: Miami Screw Town”. Expectations vs. reality unfortunately.
Well, in this fascinating world of fake ads and games developed in Paint, there’s one who takes the cake:Mafia town‘. I’d set my hand on fire because you’ve already seen one of their commercials. The title is the classic construction, resource management, and fighting game model, but the ads? Buah, in advertising, the game can be anything you want.
But, but, but … and the game?
In the video that accompanies these lines, you can see “Mafia City” advertised for almost 36 minutes. These are all the announcements published by Jan 1st, 2019 that have no waste. The first is sensational, but I’m leaving you some of the best to give you an idea of the agenda: 2:40 a.m., 4:57 a.m., 6:29 a.m., 8:56 a.m., 10:46 a.m., 6:28 p.m., 11:48 p.m. and 30:40 a.m.
As you can see, the game can be anything you want from a version of Age of Empires to a Metal Slug to some sort of Watch Dogs or a deck of cards. The possibilities are endless. In fact, in some commercials, we can move from a gang member to using a dog as a boss with his costume and werewolf next to him. BUT THIS GAME HAS EVERYTHING.
Reality? It is a role model game like anyone who wants to be the “Age of Empires” on the phone and doesn’t. You have a base, locations to build buildings, troops, and a huge world with other players to attack. At the beginning it is of course very easy as all the improvements take little time and the game is dynamic, but from the beginning We believe the goal of the game is to go through the box to speed everything up.
At no time during the game will you see anything shown in the displays. Nothing, zero. The game is simple, easy, with a very busy user interface. The fighting has nothing to do with it Unfortunately, we cannot match those who can be seen in the videos by hitting our test subject on the head with a frying pan.
While this is a game that has little or nothing to do with advertising, it’s a bad thing. In May 2021 alone, it was downloaded and downloaded over two million times Generated $ 13 million in revenue with Android. On iOS 300,000 downloads and $ 12 million according to the Sensor Tower.
Not bad at all for a game that is one in every way Skin on the insole from “March of Empires”, “King of Avalon”, “Game of War”, “Lords Mobile”, “Mobile Royale” or “Age of Warring Empire”. However, these don’t have such funny ads where we shoot a burning bench while we are throwing out cars and bills.
