Xiaomi has launched its Redmi Note 10 series in India, which includes three phones starting at Rs 11,999 up to Rs 21,999 for the most expensive variant of the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. The Note 10 series is the first Redmi phone with an AMOLED display, and the variant with the highest specifications has a 108 megapixel camera, which is a first for these phones too.
Redmi has increased the loading speed and refresh rate on the series screen. The MIUI 12 is based on Android 11 on all three phones. Xiaomi said that all phones can be upgraded to the MIUI 12.5 when it is released later and that users can uninstall any apps pre-installed on the devices.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is the most expensive Redmi Note phone the company has launched to date. It starts with the 6 GB + 64 GB option priced at Rs 18,999. The 6 GB + 128 GB version costs Rs 19,999 while the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB version costs Rs 21,999. The Redmi Note 10 Pro starts at Rs 15,999 for the 6 GB + 64 GB variant, and the 6 GB + 128 GB version costs Rs 16,999. The 8 GB + 128 GB version of the Pro costs Rs 18,999.
On Redmi Note 10, the 4 GB + 64 GB option costs Rs 11,999, while the 6 GB RAM + 128 GB version costs Rs 13,999. The Redmi Note 10 will first go on sale on March 16, followed by the Redmi Note 10 Pro on March 17 and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max on March 18. The phones are sold in the retail stores of Amazon India and Mi.com, as well as Xiaomi.
Redmi Note 10: Technical Specifications
The new phone gets what Redmi called the “Evol” design compared to the Aura design of the previous version. The phone’s rearview camera is in the upper left corner on the back of the device in an elongated rectangular module. The fingerprint sensor is now embedded on the side like in the power button. The phone is available in the following three colors: aqua green, shadow black and frost white. The black is grayer, however.
The Redmi Note 10 also has an AMOLED display, but the refresh rate of 120 Hz is limited to the Pro series. The display specifications for the Redmi Note 10 are 6.43 inches, Full HD + resolution (2400 × 1080), 60 Hz screen refresh rate and a maximum of 1100 nits of brightness. The phone screen has an aspect ratio of 20: 9.
It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 chipset, which is based on 11 nanometer (nm) technology coupled with the Adreno 612 GPU for graphics. The phone starts with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, a maximum of 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Redmi Note 10 has a quad camera on the back with a 48-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is 13MP.
The phone runs MIUI 12 based on Android 11 and has a 5000 mAh battery. The Redmi Note 10 also comes with a 33W fast charger. The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front for protection, rubberized and corrosion-resistant connectors and surge protection when charging. It has a 3.5 mm socket, an IR blaster and a self-cleaning speaker.
Redmi Note 10 Pro, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max: Technical Specifications
The main difference between these two phones is the camera. While the Pro Max gets the 108MP camera setup, the Pro has the 64MP camera on the back. The camera of the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max contains the 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor with 9-in-1 binning for photos and is supposed to deliver images that are brighter and sharper thanks to the larger sensor size.
Other camera specifications include a new 5-megapixel macro sensor with 2x zoom, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with a 118-degree field of view and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. In contrast, the Redmi Note 10 Pro has the 64-megapixel camera and uses the Samsung ISOCELL GW3 sensor. The other camera specifications are the same as those of the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.
Both phones have the Evol design and are available in new colors: Vintage Bronze, Glacial Blue and Dark Night. The phones have a 6.67-inch Full HD + AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 1200 nits. Both offer HDR-10 support for the display and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification.
The selfie camera on both is 16MP. The phone runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G chipset, which is based on 8 nm process technology and is equipped with an Adreno 618 GPU. The maximum offered RAM is up to 8 GB LPDDR4X-RAM and 128 GB UFS 2.2 memory.
The battery on both is 5020 mAh and there is also a 33 W charger included. The phone runs MIUI 12 based on Android 11. The phones have Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection, a 360-degree ambient light sensor, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, rubberized and corrosion-resistant connectors and surge protection for charging. The phones also have an IR blaster. The Redmi Note 10 Pro series also has stereo speakers on the front. The Redmi Note 10 Pro phones are 8.1mm thick and weigh 192 grams.
