Amazon’s Great Republic Day Sale begins January 19 for Prime members and runs through January 22. If you’re looking to upgrade to a mid-range or premium smartphone, you should wait a few days longer to get good deals on the e-retail giant. For users of SBI credit cards, an instant discount of 10 percent is granted. However, it remains to be seen whether or not the smartphone prices already revealed include the credit card discount.
Here are five phones that are getting a price cut in the upcoming sale:
iPhone 12 mini (Rs 59,990)
The iPhone 12 mini will be available at a discounted price for the first time since it was launched last year. With the iPhone 12 mini, Apple has addressed the public who want to experience a flagship in a compact form factor. It does everything the iPhone 12 can, except for slow wireless charging. The phone has a 5.4-inch OLED display and is powered by the A14 Bionic chip. It has a dual rear camera configuration including 12MP wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle sensors. The reduced price applies to the 64 GB model of the device.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (Rs 77,999)
Samsung launched the Note 20 series in August 2020 at a starting price of Rs 1.04,999. The phone has a massive 6.9-inch WQHD + AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The screen size is sufficient for people who consume a lot of content on their phone or multitask. It is powered by an Exynos 990 processor with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage from the base model, which is expected to go on sale. On the back there is a triple camera with 108 primary sensors and a 10 megapixel front camera. The S-Pen is an added perk for those who love to doodle. All of this is backed up by a 4,500 mAh battery with 25 W fast charge support.
Samsung Galaxy M51 (Rs 20,999)
The Samsung Galaxy M51 has an AMOLED panel, a Snapdragon 730G chipset and a quad camera setup on the back with a 64-megapixel main camera and a 32-megapixel front. This is the only Samsung smartphone in the world to offer a massive 7,000 mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. It has a 6.7-inch Full HD + SAMOLED display. The phone is great value for money, especially for those who have extended screen time all day and don’t want to recharge every now and then. The variant with 6 GB + 128 GB is available for a discount of Rs 4,000.
OnePlus 8T (Rs 40,499)
The OnePlus 8T wasn’t a massive upgrade over the OnePlus 8, but there was a change in the camera design and the screen was no longer rounded at the edges. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, has a 6.55-inch FHD + display, and a quad camera setup on the back with a 48-megapixel primary camera. It has a 4,500 mAh battery and a 65 W fast charge capability. The phone is 5G capable too, and the Oxygen OS 11 is an advantage because of the customizations offered. The basic variant with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage receives a discount of Rs 2,500 during the sale.
OnePlus 7T Pro (Rs 38,999)
The OnePlus 7T Pro will again receive a price cut during the sale. It is currently listed on Amazon for Rs 43,999. The discount applies to the 8 GB RAM + 256 GB memory variant. OnePlus originally launched 7T Pro for Rs 53,999. It is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865 processor with 5G support. It has a QHD + Fluid AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, a pop-up selfie camera and a triple 48-megapixel rear camera. The phone is powered by a 4,085 mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T support.
