Do we get this? Uncharted Movie trailer this week? In fact, we’ll be getting one of our first big movie trailers of the year very soon if we read between the lines of a new tweet from actor Tom Holland. The star has been annoyed that something is coming on Jan. 14, and given his impending slate, it makes most sense that this has to do with his role as Nathan Drake in the long-awaited video game adaptation.

Tom Holland went to Twitter to share his mysterious tease, which consists of a date, “01/14/21” and a grinning face emoji. It’s easy to read: “Something big is coming on Thursday.” So that leaves us wondering what kind of thing that is. Holland is the star of Spider Man Franchise and Spider-Man 3 is filming. Sure, this one could Be about Peter Parker’s next Marvel adventure. Though it seems unlikely as production is still going on. It could also be his new film with the Russo brothers Cherry, out this year. But we recently got a teaser trailer for the drama.
Through the process of elimination, we are left with that Uncharted. The filming of the adaptation of the popular video game series last October. The film spent years in developing hell and eventually began filming at an inopportune time, just as Hollywood was struggling with shutdowns caused by health and safety concerns. The seemingly doomed project, however, made it to the finish and is now being positioned by Sony as a summer blockbuster. In that case, it would make a lot of sense to have a trailer released this week.
UnchartedThe series follows the treasure hunter Nathan Drake and his loyal companion Sully. A series of three sequels and a prequel followed. Sony quickly tried to turn the game’s popularity into a film that involved various filmmakers and stars over the years. Mark Wahlberg, who plays Sully alongside Tom Holland, was at one point interested in playing Drake himself. David O. Russell, Travis Knight and Dan Trachtenberg are just a few of the directors who came and went before the film finally got off the ground. Ruben Fleischer (Poison, Zombie Land: double tap) is the man who landed on the director’s chair.
Antonio Banderas, Sophia Ali and Tati Gabrielle complete the main ensemble. The details of the plot for the film remain under wraps. What we know for sure is that Sony has cast a younger actor to star in the hopes that it will turn into a franchise that could last for many years. But let’s not get any further. We may have a better understanding of how plausible that is if the trailer drops on Thursday. We will safely get the trailer on your way as soon as it becomes available. Uncharted is currently in theaters on July 16, 2021. You can read the post from Tom Holland’s Twitter Account.
