On Sunday, Jasmin Bhasin was evicted from Bigg Boss 14’s house in a shocking twist. The popular television actor was nominated along with Aly Goni, Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla. Her exit left host Salman Khan in tears, and her best friend Aly had a breakdown.
After her elimination, actress Dil Se Dil Tak spoke exclusively to socialmediagossips.com about her trip, realizing her love for Aly on the show and how important it was to her to be real than the trophy.
Here are excerpts from the conversation.
Their eviction was very emotional. Even Salman Khan couldn’t hold his tears. Then what was going on in your head?
Since all four participants were very strong, it was an equal chance for each of us to be evicted. As for the emotions, tears had to come as it was a strong connection from the heart. Although I was very upset, I am glad that Aly was saved. Now we can all hope that he will come back with the trophy. And Salman Sir is a sweetheart and he so supported and loved us.
Part of the audience thinks it was pretty unfair to nominate the four of you …
But then life is never fair. n / A? In all honesty, I made peace with everything that happened. I think it was fate’s plan. I should stay in the house for so many days.
You and Aly always claimed that you were just friends. When did you realize you were in love?
It’s not like on a nice day when we woke up thinking we were in love. It’s always been there, but we never accepted it. We have always had a mutual understanding so as not to complicate things between us or to risk our friendship. However, when we were apart, emotions overwhelmed all logic. We decided to stop living in rejection and accept our feelings. And now it’s just beautiful.
So, is marriage hot as the two of you suggested on the show?
(Laughs) It’s going to happen, but it’s a very big decision. As soon as Aly is out we will sit down and talk things through. We also need to bring our families together and then do what is best for us.
Did you talk to your parents about Aly? They, who did not recognize Aly during ‘Family Week’, seemed to have upset him.
Whatever they said was total from the game point of view. Every parent wants their child to be the winner. Aly is very cool about us. There are no objections from them, but of course there is much to discuss with both families.
Over the past few weeks, roommates and the audience have questioned the change in your behavior. They even earned the nickname “Jas-mean” on social media.
Trolls and haters are everywhere and I really am not worried about them. I am a person who has these extreme emotions. I cry a lot, and when I am injured and struggling, I will carry on fully. Besides, I never pretended to be someone. I am really proud of myself for taking the right point of view wherever it was needed. I actually came out with a lot more love than what I had when I walked on the show.
Also tell us what exactly caused a rift in your friendship with Rubina Dilaik? You seemed to get along so well.
It all happened during the panchayat task. Although I’ve always loved her as a friend, I was shocked to find that she had a completely different opinion of me. So it got worse and worse between us. She plays a game and is manipulative and tries to create a narrative about everyone. I’m not blaming them as this show requires you to pull others down in order to shine. And that’s why I have no grudge against them and I don’t hate them either.
When Kashmera Shah was evicted, she said that you and Rubina mistreated the challengers and even looked down on them.
I never mistreated the challengers, I stopped others from doing it. Without telling anyone, I cleaned and worked for them. Just because some socialmediagossips held personal grudges against me did others follow suit. They accused me of all of this for when I was really nice to them.
Do you feel like you’ve been portrayed negatively by the makers?
I know that socialmediagossips only observe part of what exactly is going on in the house during the day and then judge the candidates on that basis. However, I don’t believe in positive or negative images as they are all part of me. Just because someone is cute doesn’t mean they won’t get angry. What is really important to me is that I have stayed true to myself. Bigg Boss hasn’t changed me or the minds of socialmediagossips who love me.
If you could go back in time, would you want to change anything on your trip?
Not really, except maybe how I reacted after my fight with Rahul Vaidya. It’s exactly my fault, but then it was a natural instinct.
What was your biggest takeout from Bigg Boss 14?
(Smiling) The feeling of falling in love and realizing it. That was the best thing that happened to me on the show.
