Jayson Tatum has been living his best life the past few days, signing a major contract extension with the Boston Celtics and is now ready to play for that ring in the upcoming NBA season. In the meantime, he does various activities before the training camp begins.
Tatum wanted to pay homage to the place he was born and did it in a great way by getting an epic back tattoo. He was given a street sign on Archer Ave in Saint Louis, Missouri, the place where he was born and raised. He also got a house where he presumably grew up.
The piece is very beautiful and well done to be honest. Back tattoos have become very popular in the NBA world in recent months. A fan recently got a full back tattoo of LeBron James ‘face, as did Phoenix Suns’ great man Deandre Ayton, who got one of the most curious tats in the NBA.
Last season was great for Tatum and the Celtics. They landed in the final of the Eastern Conference for the second time in his career and posted very good numbers. He averaged 23.4 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 45% off the field.
Now he’s ready to take that final step and play in the final. After seeing his tattoo, it is fair to say that he will not be lacking in motivation.
