Jimmy Butler once again showed he was one of the funniest players when he told a reporter that the Miami Heat are not afraid of rivals and as long as they can play they have the chance to play against anyone.
On Monday, the veteran swingman was asked by a reporter if it would be difficult for him and his team and the player to compete against teams like the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks.
Reporter: “Do you know how tough the schedule is with 2 against Celtics, 1 against 76s, 1 against Bucks?”
Jimmy Butler: “This is tough for you?”
Reporter: “I do not know.”
Butler: Maybe it would be difficult if your sad ass was on our team, but I think we’ll be fine.
Jimmy was just messing with the reporter, but that shows how safe this man is on his team. This season hasn’t been the best for the Floridians, especially when they know all the expectations around them after reaching the NBA Finals last season.
Butler and Co. I’ll try to shock the world again but things don’t look as promising for the heat as they did last year. The Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks have all leveled up and Miami will have a really hard time beating them in a playoff series.
Even so, they have Jimmy B and this man is not going to go down easily. So if they have the chance to compete, it is thanks to their star. We are going through the last two weeks of competition and the heat is currently in 6th place in the east. The next few games are crucial for them if they want to make it into the postseason without having to enter the play-in tournament.
