Jurassic World 3 will feel like the climax of the entire franchise, according to director Colin Trevorrow. The upcoming sequel, officially titled Jurassic World: Dominion, was filmed late last year and was one of the first big blockbusters to wrap up production after the massive Hollywood shutdown in 2020. Now Trevorrow hops up the sequel as the conclusion to a much bigger story.
Colin Trevorrow is currently promoting the release of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Season 2, which hits Netflix on Friday. In a recent interview, the filmmaker who previously directed Jurassic World 2015 was asked Domination. Although he couldn’t go into too much detail, he explained that the goal is to tie all six films together. Here’s what he had to say about it.
“Me, [Dominion] is a culmination of a story that was told. When you at the end of the Jurassic Park Trilogy, it might not have been that clear what the full story of these three films was because they were a little more episodic in the way they were approached. But this trilogy is not like that. It’s very much a serialized story. What was important to me was that when you watch Dominion you really feel like you are learning how much of a story that first series of films was, and how everything that happened in those films actually informs you of what ends up being can happen in this situation. When six Jurassic Park films are shown to children born today, hope parents buy them the box set and hope they feel like they are seeing a long story. “
Colin Trevorrow also called the film “a celebration of the entire franchise”. For some time now, it has seemed like JW3 is building into something big and climatic. Chris Pratt, who returns as Owen Grady, compared it once Avengers: Endgame Saying “everyone” is possible. This appears to be true because original cast Sam Neill (Alan Grant), Jeff Goldblum (Ian Malcolm) and Laura Dern (Ellie Sattler) will perform together for the first time since Jurassic Park in 1993. Trevorrow has made multiple promises that they will play significant roles.
The cast also includes Daniella Pineda, Scott Haze, Campbell Scott, Judge Smith, Omar Sy, DeWanda Wise, Dichen Lachman, BD Wong, and Mamoudou Athie. Bryce Dallas Howard also returns as Claire Dearing. Scott will play the character of Lewis Dodgson, who last opened for Jurassic Park, and once again signal that everything will be connected in the upcoming episode.
Emily Carmichael wrote the script alongside Colin Trevorrow. The film was originally due to be released this year, but due to production delays and box office uncertainties, it was pushed back a year. Jurassic World: Dominion will currently arrive on June 10, 2022. We will keep you updated as more details become available. This message comes over to us Weekly entertainment.
