Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut went on Twitter Tuesday to boast of her ability to debate a specific topic and “like X-rays to penetrate any topic”.
The Thalaivi actor tweeted, “A lot of socialmediagossips are jealous of my ability to discuss almost any subject, how to peel off psychological layers of my opponents, and how X-rays can penetrate any subject. Don’t be jealous or angry, try to sharpen your intellect and really invest in those around you. “
The tweet comes a few hours after she defied actor-politician Kamal Haasan’s idea of recognizing the work of housewives and making them a salaried profession.
She replied to Shashi Tharoor’s tweet in support of Haasan’s idea. The politician wrote on Twitter: “I welcome @ ikamalhaasan’s idea of recognizing housework as a salaried occupation, with the state government paying housewives a month’s wage. This will recognize and monetize the services of housewives in society, increasing their power and autonomy, and creating a near universal basic income. “
In her response, Kangana Ranaut argued that women don’t need money to be the “queen” of their homes. Instead she suggested: “Surrender yourself to your wife, she needs all of you, not just your love / respect / salary.”
Don’t put a price on the sex we have with our love, don’t pay us to mother our own, we don’t need a salary to be the queens of our own little kingdom, and stop doing everything as a business consider. Surrender yourself to your wife, she needs all of you, not just your love / respect / salary. https://t.co/57PE8UBALM

Kamal Haasan assured housewives that they would be paid for their work at home during his election campaign in northern Tamil Nadu in December 2020. He had said, “Women will break through established glass ceilings with the equal opportunities our MNM government offers them.”
