Telugu star Ravi Teja gave an insight into his upcoming film Khiladi on Tuesday on the occasion of his 53rd birthday. The teaser is nothing more than a live-action version of a motion poster. All we get is more than 30 seconds of Ravi Teja walking through a cloud of smoke in slow motion while a breeze gently tousles his hair.
And if that look is something, the only significant element of Khiladi seems to be Ravi Teja. It looks like director Ramesh Varma Penmetsa has nothing exciting and refreshing to offer in terms of story, setting and narrative. Khiladi seems to be a typical Ravi Teja film with exaggerated action sequences, which usually takes place after loud punch lines and nonsensical plot. A total fan lover.
Khiladi, also with Dimple Hayathi and Keshav Deepak, went to the floor in Hyderabad a few weeks ago. Devi Sri Prasad is playing the music for the film, which is funded by Satyanarayana Koneru of Abhishek Studios LLP and Pen India Limited. The film is expected to be ready for summer this year.
Ravi Teja is currently basking in the box office success of his latest film, Krack. The cop drama that was released during the Sankranti vacation is touted as “the first Telugu blockbuster of 2021”. Aside from the cash registers ringing at the box office, the film surprisingly received mostly positive reviews. And the movie’s success has given other Telugu filmmakers the much-needed confidence to release their new films during the pandemic.
