LG has launched its newest smartphone, the LG K42, in India. The smartphone is equipped with a quad rear view camera and has a 4,000 mAh battery. The new budget smartphone has a MIL-STD-810G-certified, military-grade build that is said to have passed nine different categories of US defense standards tests, including high and low temperature, temperature shock, vibration, shock and humidity. LG K42: Technical Specifications and Features
The dual SIM LG K42 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC with 3 GB of RAM. It runs on Android 10 with the LG UX on top. The device has a 6.6-inch HD + display (720 × 1,600) with an aspect ratio of 20: 9 and a hole-punch design. The smartphone measures 165.0 × 76.7 × 8.4 mm and weighs 182 grams.
The LG K42 also has a quad rear view camera. These include a 13MP primary sensor, a 5-megapixel super wide-angle sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro shooter, as well as an 8-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. The device has an AI-Cam function that recommends an optimal camera mode between eight different modes depending on the recording.
The new LG smartphone also has the “Flash Jump Cut” feature that allows the camera to take four still images at intervals along with the flash to indicate when the images will be taken. The smartphone also has a “time assist” feature that flashes the flash to warn users before the phone takes a picture.

Under the hood, the LG K42 offers 64 GB of internal storage and supports connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0 and GPS / A-GPS. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 4,000 mAh battery that comes with USB Type-C charging. The LG K42 is also equipped with a pre-installed game launcher and has a 3D sound engine as well as a special Google Assistant button.

The LG K42 will be available exclusively on Flipkart from January 26, 2021. The device costs Rs 10,990 and comes with a 2-year extended warranty and a free one-time screen replacement. It will be available in gray and green.
