Michael Keaton is believed to be the main Batman in the upcoming Cinematic Universe from DC. It has previously been reported that Keaton will repeat the role of the Dark Knight in the Flash movie that is currently under development. Additionally, thanks to the DC multiverse, Ben Affleck will also appear in the highly anticipated film as his version of the Caped Crusader. In a recent interview, Walter Hamada, President of DC Films said, “For example, Warner Bros. will run two different sagas with Batman played by two different actors at the same time.”
Walter Hamada’s comments on the future of Batman Many people wondered who the other actor would be. Robert Pattinson currently plays in Matt Reeves’ The BatmanHe’s one of the actors, but it was never confirmed who the second actor would be. According to the New York Times writer who wrote the Hamada play, Michael Keaton will be the other actor to take on a bigger role in the DC Universe.
It had previously been reported that Ben Affleck was only returning to the role in Zack Snyders Justice League for short additional shots and then again for The Lightningnext to Ezra Miller. After that, he is supposedly done with the role. As for Michael KeatonIt looks like he could play a much bigger role in the future, although it is currently unclear what that means. The actor who famously portrayed the Caped Crusader in Tim Burtons Batmanwas relatively calm about the situation. Back in October 2020, Keaton said he could not “confirm” anything and remarked, “We are having discussions, as they say. We are talking about it. We will see if it happens.”
The Michael Keaton News has plenty of fans hoping that a live-action Batman Beyond or even the Frank Miller classic comic book The Dark Knight Returns could be explored in the future. The Batman Beyond Casting is something that has been rumored for a few years, though it has never been officially endorsed by Warner Bros. or DC. What this means for the future, we’ll just have to wait and see what DC has up its sleeves for Keaton’s return.
The Lightning After years in the development hell, production should start in April. At this point, Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck, and Billy Crudup are the only cast members that have been announced. As for Ray Fischer’s cyborg, it was believed that his character would play a decent role, but that seems increasingly unlikely over time. Last week the actor swore he would never work on a Walter Hamada project again. Keaton is still keeping his mouth shut so we hope this latest news will get him to talk about the future. The Michael Keaton News was first reported from Twitter from Nestor Cine Account.
