OnePlus Watch can be offered in two different models named W501GB and W301GB. The two OnePlus watches have apparently received the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification, as reported by tipster Mukul Sharma, who operates the handle StuffListings on Twitter. One of the models allegedly also received IMDA certification from Singapore. The expectation is that the OnePlus watch will be launched in India soon as it has received certification.
OnePlus has already confirmed that the company has developed a smartwatch. Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus, recently spoke about the company’s plans to launch a watch in early 2021. He also confirmed that OnePlus is working closely with Google to improve the smartwatch operating system. However, it doesn’t look like the OnePlus Watch is running WearOS from Google and it likely has OnePlus’ proprietary software.
Mukul Sharma’s tweet revealed that two models of the OnePlus Watch have appeared on the BIS certification website. The model number W301GB was also discovered on the IMDA certification page.

Some of the previous reports had suggested that the smartwatches OnePlus is set to release would be called the OnePlus Watch and OnePlus Watch RX. One report also suggested that the OnePlus Watch could have a square dial and the OnePlus Watch RX could have a round dial like the Oppo Watch RX.
OnePlus has already entered the fitness wearable sector this year with the OnePlus Band, which was launched on January 11th. The band costs Rs 2,499 and is designed to take over the popular Xiaomi Mi Band that is currently leading the segment. The OnePlus Band has functions such as heart rate monitoring, monitoring of the bloody oxygen level and the ability to track steps, sleep and other fitness activities.
