Actor Rana Daggubati said he realized how tough and tough life is for Border Security Forces (BSF) staff when he was shooting for the documentary Mission Frontline.
Daggubati can be seen alongside BSF soldiers in the documentary, which will premiere on Discovery + on Thursday.
“In most films, when we play a character, we can spend time with them, but obviously there is very little time they give. Like recording everything they say for 4 hours, going back and then assuming we know part of their life.
In the @BSF_India It is not easy! Exercise, shooting, simulated mission, I could feel the rush and a sense of pride! Doing strenuous physical training with these heroes was a priceless feeling. #MissionFrontline Premieres Jan. 21 on @discoveryplusIN #DiscoveryPlusOriginal pic.twitter.com/9U3O2iglyJ

“But it’s very different just to be at work with them. I had to do a simulated mission through this whole thing so you can pretty much see everything up close and that was very unique to me, ”the 36-year-old actor said in a statement.
The Baahubali star said he realized that serving in the armed forces while filming was “real business”.
“This is the first time that I was in a race for the last time. I thought this was the real deal. The movie I’m making is a similar costume, but then I’m always the main character and I’m usually the strongest on the set, the way you run forward and others try to catch up. But here it’s so the real stuff and it’s so different, ”he added.
Daggubati also believes that the actual reality of a soldier’s life can never be captured on camera.
“There are a lot of assumptions that we make in the cities, or there is a little that we know through the news. But what life is has never been captured on camera before.
“When there is news at the border, you hear from cross-border commuters, or if something happens, we are only informed then. But just as an educational exercise, I think it was the most unique experience of all for me to take a leaf out of their life and bring it to socialmediagossips, ”he added.
