Walt Disney Animation Studios just released a new trailer for Raya and the last dragon along with a brand new poster for the fantasy adventure film. The trailer comes a little over a month before the film premieres in early March, which includes a simultaneous debut on Disney + with Premier Access as well as a theatrical release. Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada directly Raya and the last dragon with Paul Briggs and John Ripa as co-directors based on a script by Qui Nguyen and Adele Lim. Osnat Shurer and Peter Del Vecho produce. James Newton Howard composed the score, making it the fourth time he has seen a Disney film dinosaur, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, and The treasure planet.
The film’s double release is similar to Disney’s live-action remake Mulan, which was released in September. Because of the pandemic, the film was only shown in limited theaters that were open at the time. That same day, Disney did Mulan Available to Disney + users for a premium fee. Originally, Mulan was premiered exclusively in cinemas last March. At the time, the $ 29.99 fee was controversial, however Raya and the last dragon has the potential to perform much better with moviegoers who have since become more accustomed to viewing new films this way.
Raya and the last dragon will be released in cinemas on March 5, 2021. The film will also be available on Disney + with Premier Access in most markets at a price of $ 29.99.
