Redmi Note 9T was launched worldwide. The latest 5G mid-range device has a Mediatek Dimensity 800U processor, 5,000 mAh battery, two speakers, a triple rear camera and much more. It’s basically a renamed version of the Redmi Note 9 5G that was launched in China in November 2020. The price for the Redmi Note 9T is 229.90 EUR, which is about 20,700 Rs. This price applies to the 4 GB RAM + 64 GB memory variant. There is also an early bird offer and you can purchase the basic model for 199 EUR (approx Rs 17,870).
Xiaomi also offers the device with 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage configuration. This variant costs EUR 269.90 (approx. Rs 24,300). As part of the market launch, the 128 GB model will initially cost 249 euros (around 22,400 rupees). Xiaomi sells the handset in two colors, including Nightfall Black and Daybreak Purple. It will be available from January 11th on Mi.com, Amazon and other channels. There is still no word on the launch of the Redmi Note 9T in India.
Redmi Note 9T: technical data, features
The newly introduced Redmi Note 9T has a 6.53-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The panel works with Full HD + resolution and supports a refresh rate of 60 Hz. It has a 3D design with a curved unibody -Back and a punch display. According to the manufacturer, the rear wall is also splash-proof. Xiaomi has also added a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security reasons.
It is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 800U processor, which is based on a 7 nm process. It’s paired with a Mali-G58 GPU, 4 GB of RAM, and up to 128 GB of storage. Xiaomi claims that the device has seven thermal sensors to dissipate heat. The Redmi Note 9T comes with a 5,000 mAh battery. Brands like Samsung and Realme are offering a 6,000 mAh battery with new devices. Xiaomi claimed that users will have up to days of battery life. It offers support for 18W fast charging.
For photography there is a triple camera setup on the back. It includes a 48MP primary sensor. The setup also consists of an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with a wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor with a macro lens. There is a 13-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The mid-range device has two stereo speakers. It has support for NFC, IR blaster, FM radio and more.
Redmi 9T and other Xiaomi products
Xiaomi also launched an affordable smartphone called the Redmi 9T. It has two speakers, support for NFC, a 6.53-inch FHD + display, a 6,000 mAH battery, 48-megapixel quad rear cameras, and much more. The newly launched Redmi 9T will cost 159 euros, which is around 14,270 rupees in India.
Xiaomi even presented a Mi Smart Clock that costs 49 euros (around 4,399 rupees). With this smart speaker, you can control music, stream videos, set alarm, control other smart devices and use it as a digital photo frame. The device has a 3-97 inch touchscreen display. It has support for Google’s digital assistant.
In addition to the Redmi 9T and the Mi Smart Clock, Xiaomi also launched the Mi 360-degree home security camera 2K Pro. The device has support for 2K, AI detection of people, privacy mode, double noise reduction and 2.4GHz / 5GHz Wi-Fi. The footage can be reviewed on any compatible IoT device.
