Applied Arts FX Studio, the specialty makeup effects team working on the upcoming Resident Evil reboot, has shared a behind-the-scenes picture that shows how dedicated the production is to making this movie for the fans. The picture shows a t-shirt that was distributed to the production team after completion and gives us a first glimpse into one of the countless undead that will torment our heroes.

The picture shows that clearly resident Evil I’ll go back to the classic zombie design, with many fans believing that the production team has become so specific that the picture shows the famous Head-Turner zombie from the start resident Evil Video game.
Sony Pictures’ resident Evil will act as a restart of the already established film series in which Milla Jovovich played the lead role and which is very loosely based on the popular video game series of the same name. The restart takes us back to the glory days of 1998 and reveals the secrets of the Spencer Mansion and Raccoon City. resident Evil will also supposedly serve as some sort of origin story for the first game in the series, and will incorporate elements from both the first and second game.
The cast was recently announced and includes Kaya Scodelario (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead men tell no stories) as Claire Redfield, Robbie Amell (The duff) as Chris Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen (Ant man and the wasp) as Jill Valentine, Tom Hopper (The Umbrella Academy) as Albert Wesker, Avan Jogia (Zombie Land: double tap) as Leon S. Kennedy and Neal McDonough (Sonic the Hedgehog) as William Birkin.
Johannes Roberts (47 meters down, Strangers: prey in the night) should control that resident Evil Restart from a script by Greg Russo. Horror movie maestro James Wan from the Insidious and The incantation Franchise is to be produced on board.
“With this film, I really wanted to go back to the first two games and create the horrific visceral experience I had when I first played it, while at the same time telling a deep human story about a small dying American town that feels both Relevant and relevant to today’s audience, “Roberts said in a recent statement.
Rebooting is nowhere near the only project based on that resident Evil Property currently under development. Netflix is working on a live action series and an animated series called Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. It is currently not known whether these projects will ultimately all be linked to one another or whether the restart will stand on its own.
