Sanya Malhotra and Vikrant Massey announced Tuesday that they had started filming Shanker Raman’s director Love Hostel. Set against the rural parts of northern India, Love Hostel with Bobby Deol is a story about the fleeting journey of a spirited young couple who are chased by a ruthless mercenary. “The lovers with the stars cross the whole world and even more so in search of their fairy-tale end,” say the makers.
The film is produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Drishyam Films. Vikrant and Sanya went to Instagram to announce the start of shooting with the pictures of the bound copies of the script, the names of which are printed on the cover. “And we’re starting,” Vikrant Massey wrote next to the photo.
Love Hostel was announced last October. At the time, Shanker Raman, who had previously directed the acclaimed Gurgaon (2017), said Love Hostel would answer “hearts and minds” questions.
We look forward to presenting our next film @ DrishyamFilms, #LoveHostel – a story about a spirited young couple on the run!

“I’ve always been interested in questions of the heart and mind. And I would say no matter what the question is, violence is not the answer. I am happy to have found the perfect partner in Vikrant and Sanya and the impressive Bobby Deol. Love Hostel as a film not only questions what our society has become, but also how we can solve our problems, ”the director said in a statement.
The Love Hostel is the second collaboration between Red Chillies Entertainment and Drishyam Films following the critically acclaimed 2020 drama Kaamyaab starring Sanjay Mishra.
