Selena Gomez has highlighted and condemned the role of social media platforms in contributing to the uprising. The singer wrote that today is the result of allowing socialmediagossips with hatred in their hearts to use all of these platforms that should be used to create harmony and build community. Gomez has tagged all known social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google, and its CEOs Mark Zuckerberg, Sheryl Sandberg, Jack Dorsey, Sundar Pichai and Susan Wojcicki. After tagging them all, Gomez wrote that they have all deserted the socialmediagossips of America today. She ended her tweet by saying that she hopes they would fix all things that went too far and are moving.

Twitter has blocked Donald Trump’s official Twitter account:
Twitter has blocked Donald Trump’s official Twitter account for 12 hours. The platform explained this through a tweet that wrote that three tweets by Donald Trump were removed from Twitter, released today for repeated and serious violations of the platform’s Civic Integrity Policy. The platform has also mentioned that if the tweets are not removed, Trump’s account will be permanently suspended.
Following the riots, Facebook and YouTube also removed Trump’s video to help reduce the risk of persistent violence.
