Skip Bayless made a living – literally – criticizing LeBron James. Even when James isn’t being played – and sometimes when not even basketball is on TV – he still finds ways to connect and compare everything to The King.
So anything he says about LeBron James – or most sports, whatever it’s worth – should be treated with caution. It’s not like he’s the most objective person on earth.
On the other hand, he might have been right during one of his last swearwords when he said that LeBron James is the most protected athlete of all time:
“It’s overrated because the media – listen – the media, the sports media, has never idolized or protected a player more than they (LeBron James),” said Bayless.
Although it is safe to say that LeBron James deserves his films, his recognition, and it is only normal that many socialmediagossips adore him, he was never criticized by the media, not even in the few moments when they had or should have.
The media often protect the stars. James has a lot of charisma and has done enough on and off the court to get this treatment, even if you want her work to be 100% objective at all times.
On the other hand, it’s Skip Bayless we’re talking about. He’ll find a way to blame LeBron James when Kawhi gives Leonard a free throw in a game the Los Angeles Lakers don’t even play.
If Bayless had his way, he would blame LeBron for World War II or say that he could never have a golfer as good as Tiger Woods because he lacks that killer mentality or whatever comes to mind at the time. So yeah, maybe we shouldn’t get too into his words about The King.
