Strange things There were certainly some terrifying moments in the first three seasons of the Netflix show, but series star Gaten Matarazzo says season four will be the scariest yet. Since the series began in 2016, Matarazzo has played fan-favorite character Dustin Henderson, one of the four main characters at the center of the story. He’ll be back with the others when Strange things finally returns with new episodes and it sounds like the show is going to be more scary than before too.
“Yikes” Gaten Matarazzo told Us weekly this month when asked about season 4. “I think most would probably say it’s the scariest [season] from the previous three that I love because it’s very fun to film. “
While the cast are working hard to shoot the darkest material they’ve made to date, Matarazzo also explains that the actors do their best to maintain a “happy, energetic” atmosphere on the set, although this may seem pretty easy for them seems .
“We don’t have to try too hard. We like each other, which is always a plus,” joked Matarazzo. “Not only is there a lot of heavy, dark stuff on the show, but there is also a lot of lightheartedness around it [and] a good amount of comedy. … we usually have a fun time on set. “
Created by Matt and Ross Duffer, Strange things Set in the 80s, it features references to the pop culture icons of the decade. It begins with a group of boys searching for their missing boyfriend with supernatural events around the town of Hawkins, Indiana. In addition to Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder and David Harbor can also be seen in the series.
At the end of the third season of the show, viewers were left with a cliffhanger that left the fate of Police Chief Jim Hopper (David Harbor) unknown. Netflix has since released a teaser trailer for the fourth season that reveals that Hopper is alive and apparently imprisoned in Russia. At that time, the Duffer brothers brought up the Revelation while teasing what was coming in Season 4.
“We’re excited to officially confirm that production of ‘Stranger Things 4’ is now underway – and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper,” the Duffers said last February. “Although it’s not just good news for our ‘American’; he’s trapped far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he’ll face both human and other dangers. Back in the States, a new horror has begun to emerge, something long buried, something that connects everything … “
After Hopper’s return was confirmed, Matarazzo also responded to a few new questions, noting that this came as no surprise to him or his castmates. The 18-year-old actor tells Us weekly“I think most of the cast had a pretty good idea that he could return, but they weren’t sure from the start. When we got to the table, we read [and] we had all started reading together, it had been pretty clear. But it was great that it was confirmed when we saw David there. “
It is still not clear when Strange things Season 4 is coming, but let’s hope it’s sooner rather than later. This message comes to us from Us weekly.
