This test tells us a lot that the game will be out this year
Players must have officially seen the tweet by now Dying light A Twitter account stating strongly suggests that the sequel to the zombie apocalypse game will come out in 2021.
The tweet that developer Techland released on New Year’s Eve read, “Survivors, we’re celebrating tonight!” and on the next line said, “Keep your heads up for 2021.” Hmmmmm?
The status of the game
We should still take this with a pinch of salt as the games have been delayed a lot lately. But the tweet still suggests that even if we don’t get the actual game this year, we might get more information or even a little demo. The game, which was first introduced at E3 2018, also had several delays. It was originally slated for a release in 2019, then the release was also discontinued by Techland in Spring 2020 and the next release date was not specified. The sequel promises 100 hours of gameplay with a 15-20 hour campaign.
At this point, CEO Pawel Marchewka apologized for the delay, saying that they will need more development time to achieve their vision. In conclusion, he said that her priority is to live up to her own standards and the expectations of her fans.
Dying light 2 can easily be dismissed as just another post-apocalyptic zombie game, but the truth is that Techland has built a more complicated universe that can’t just be tossed aside. If they get it right, it can be one of the most compelling role-playing games out there.
From what we’ve seen, the sequel is bigger, bolder, and has a map that’s already four times the size of the map from the first game.
