Vivo S9 will be launched in China on March 3rd, the company announced on Weibo. Vivo has not disclosed any of the phone’s specs, but is expected to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1100 processor. Just like the Vivo V20 Pro, which was launched in India last year, the smartphone may also have a dual selfie camera. There is no information about the expected price or launch of the Vivo S9 in other regions including India. However, it is expected to be released in India as well.
The design of the Vivo S9 is expected to be similar to that of the Vivo S7. It may have a 6.44-inch Full HD + display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. There is a 44MP primary front snapper and an 8MP ultrawide sensor on the front. The dual selfie cameras are housed in a wide notch in the middle. There is a 64-megapixel main camera (Samsung GW1) on the back. Further details about the camera module have not yet been announced.
Earlier this month, the device was discovered during 3C certification. It can have up to 12GB of RAM under the hood and run instantly on Android 11 with the company’s own skin on top. All of this is backed up by a 4,000 mAh battery with 33 W fast charge support.
Vivo is also expected to launch Vivo S9e next month. The main difference between the two 5G-enabled devices is that Vivo S9e runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 820 processor.
