Tollywood star Nani released the teaser of his most anticipated film Tuck Jagadish on Tuesday. The hero seems to get the sobriquet “tuck” for his habit of putting on his shirt. The composer S Thaman put together a catchy folk number to accompany the action-packed teaser.
The song sums up the plot of the film. It talks about the hero and his loving family and how happy they live in their home village. And yes, we also get to know Daniel Balaji’s antagonist. So we get a glimpse of a drama in which the hero beats up bad socialmediagossips while keeping his booty and stowing his shirt.
Tuck Jagadish is apparently inspired by Mani Ratnam’s 1988 action film Gharshana, which revolved around the sibling rivalry. Thaman’s song in the teaser reminds us of another folk number, Sitharala Sirapadu, which he composed for Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Even in this movie, the song accompanies a piece of action as Allu Arjun’s character takes socialmediagossips to the enemy camp in style in slow motion.
Tuck Jagadish’s teaser was released on the occasion of Nani’s upcoming birthday. The star will be 37 years old next Wednesday. “Some films are released during festivals, others are like festivals themselves,” Nani tweeted while sharing the teaser.
Tuck Jagadish also plays Ritu Varma by Pelli Choopulu and Aishwarya Rajesh. The project marks the second collaboration between director Shiva Nirvana and Nani after his directorial debut Ninnu Kori in 2017.
Tuck Jagadish was due out earlier on April 16th. However, the date has been rescheduled to avoid the box office conflict with director Sekhar Kammula’s love story with Sai Pallavi and Naga Chaitanya, which will be released on the same day. Nani’s village action thriller opens in cinemas on April 23.
