In a racially motivated chatter Tuesday night about Tucker Carlson, Carlson turned against Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senator Mitt Roney, and Juneteenth, the holiday commemorating June 19, 1865, when the last slaves were told of their freedom.
When Carlson indicted McConnell, he took the opportunity to despise George Floyd. The death in police custody sparked unrest across the country that lasted all summer.
While Connell said the officials involved “look damn guilty”.
In addition, Carlson said, “Senate Republic Chairman Mitch McConnell of Kentucky didn’t mind having electoral quality hearings or absentee voting, that might have been nice.”
Instead, McConnell was busy attacking cops and praising George Floyd. Do you remember him? Saint George, the convicted violent felon who apparently died of a drug OD, a fentanyl OD in Minneapolis? That great talk that Mitch McConnell. Defenders of America! “
Then, just like last summer, Carlson shot Romney again for tromping with Black Lives Matter protesters.
“Then there’s Senator Mitt Romney from Utah. He was on the street mouthing BLM slogans in front of the camera. Kind of like his Jane Fonda moment. ‘
Then Carlson turned to Juneteenth. The day had a special meaning last year as riots over racial inequality gripped much of the country. Carlson insisted that no one knew about it until last year, and that no one would care, even the Democrats running for the Senate in Tuesday’s Georgia runoff, one of whom, Raphael Warnock, is black.
In addition, Carlon said, “At the same time, two Republican senators who should have known better were calling for Columbus Day, the day that celebrates the discovery of this land to be replaced, with something called Juneteenth.”
