Well-known Bengali singer Nirmala Mishra was admitted to a nursing home in southern Calcutta after complaining of discomfort from low blood pressure, a senior medical facility official said Sunday.
Mishra has been fighting age-related ailments for a long time.
The 79-year-old artist was taken to the nursing home on Saturday night after a drop in blood pressure, the official said.
“Your condition is stable now. She will be doing the COVID-19 test today, ”he added.
The renowned singer, who received the Balakrushna Das Award, suffered a stroke in July.
