Spider-Man 3 becomes a festive superhero movie as a set photo suggests the upcoming sequel will take place around the holiday season. A picture posted on Instagram by Atlanta Filming offers a look at the Peter Pan Donut & Pastry Shop featured in Spider-Man 3. Some of the art pieces painted on the frosted windows of the house include a cup of cocoa, a Christmas tree, a Christmas wreath, and the phrase “Merry Christmas”.
This does not mean that Peter Parker (Tom Holland) will be able to enjoy the Christmas festivities. While the details of the plot are kept a secret, it has been revealed that Benedict Cumberbatch will appear as Doctor Strange in the sequel, which will likely introduce the rumored live-action spider verse. Super villains take turns set up Spider Man Realities will also emerge, including Jamie Foxx as Electro and Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus. How this all plays out remains to be seen, but it sounds like Christmas shopping will have to wait with much bigger worries for Peter to worry.
Spider-Man 3which is not yet officially titled and also referred to as Homecoming 3will also bring back Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. Other Marvel stars are rumored to be showing up, but these have not yet been officially confirmed. This includes Charlie Cox as Daredevil with recent reports that he has already filmed his appearance in the film. Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst are also set to return as Peter Parker and Mary Jane from the original Spider Man Films like Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone from The incredible Spiderman.
Marvel boss Kevin Feige didn’t say exactly which rumors were right and which were wrong, but he teased in a recent interview that at least some of the reports were correct. “I’ve read some things. I’m not sure I’ve read all of the things,” Feige told ComicBook.com. “The funny thing about online speculation when it comes to our things is that sometimes it can’t be wrong and sometimes it’s shockingly close, and that’s been the fun of everything for several years.”
After debut as a character in Captain America: Civil WarTom Holland starred in his first solo film in 2017 with the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming. He returned as Peter Parker Spider-Man: Far from homeBoth films were hugely successful at the box office, and it was only natural that a third film would follow suit. With three solo films, Holland Maguire is assimilated, who led his own Spider Man Trilogy, and there’s a good chance he’ll be the first actor to make it into four films.
Jon Watts, the director of Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far from home, will immediately return the third installment. Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers wrote the script. The film is slated to be released on December 17, 2021, which is perfect for the rumored Christmas season. The picture from the Spider-Man 3 set was posted by Atlanta filming on Instagram.
