WandaVision, which will be released tomorrow on Disney Plus Hotstar Premium, revolves around Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany’s vision.
In the series, Wanda and Vision live in perfect domestic, suburban bliss, shaken by the gradual realization that something is wrong.
In addition to Wanda and Vision, WandaVision offers many other characters from Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Here’s a handy character guide before watching the series.
Wanda Maximoff

Wanda, also known as the Scarlet Witch, is one of the most powerful characters in the MCU, using magical telekinesis powers to manipulate reality. She first appeared with her brothers in Avengers: Age of Ultron and was initially against the Avengers. She later joined the Avengers and fought with them against Thanos and his forces. She fell in love with Vision, who was murdered by Thanos. She too died after the snap and was brought back by the remaining Avengers. It seems that she is still not over the death of Vision, and in WandaVision she has created an alternate reality in which she lives in conjugal bliss with her love. At least we know that so far.
vision
Vision used to be a piece of artificial intelligence in Tony Stark’s armor. In Age of Ultron, Vision was brought to life by Stark, Bruce Banner and Thor to defeat Ultron. The malicious AI could destroy the world. Its source of strength and sensation is the Mind Stone. Before the War of Infinity, he and Wanda lived in Scotland in disguise. He was killed by Thanos, who tore the thought stone from his forehead and ended his living. Since he did not die from the snapshot, he was not among those who were resurrected after being undone.
Monica Rambeau
Monica Rambeau was played by child actor Akira Akbar in Captain Marvel. She is all grown up now and is portrayed by Teyonah Parris, who will repeat the role in the second Captain Marvel film. Monica is the daughter of Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel’s best friend Maria. In the comics, Monica becomes a superhero and takes on the mantle of Captain Marvel herself. We only see glimpses of WandaVision promos and still don’t know how it fits into the series.
Darcy Lewis
Kat Dennings’ funny character in the first two Thor films, Darcy Lewis, will return in WandaVision. Darcy was an intern with Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster and did not return in the third Thor film. Where has she been all these years? Why is she in WandaVision and not in the upcoming fourth Thor movie? We hope these questions will be answered.
Jimmy Woo
Randall Parks FBI agent Jimmy Woo, who was supposed to make sure Scott Lang didn’t break his parole in Ant-Man and the Wasp, will appear on WandaVision.
Agnes
Since WandaVision is a superhero show caught in a classic sitcom, the pushy neighbor is a given. And that is Kathryn Hahn’s character Agnes.
