Marvel Studios has released a new feature that takes fans behind the scenes of WandaVision. One of the main focuses of the new footage is how the cast and crew were able to shoot an episode in front of a live studio audience. Marvel boss Kevin Feige wanted the show to pay homage to the classic TV sitcoms, and using a live audience is one of the bigger ways to stick with that original premise. Don’t expect this to be said WandaVision to adhere to this format during the course of the show. There is none SPOILER to the WandaVision below.
WandaVision director Matt Shakman appears on the featurette and notes, “We’re recreating an entire era of television and we’re trying to do it with that authenticity.” To do this, the crew shot the mood of a mid-century sitcom and filmed in black and white in front of a live studio audience. Happy viewers had to sign strict NDAs to make sure nothing was leaked. The crew members were fun and dressed in 1950s clothing and used timed lenses to make sure everything looked as authentic as possible. Special effects techniques that were used in shows like In love with a witch and I dream of jeannie were also used.
Elizabeth Olsen found that shooting WandaVision in front of a live studio audience brought back some memories. “It was insane,” said Olsen of the live experience. “There was something very meta to my own life because I attended these recordings as a kid where my sisters were working [on Full House]”Olsen’s sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley worked on it Full house When they were kids, they both played Michelle Tanner. Marvel Studios tried to do something classic while using classic influences and tried their best to make sure nothing came out like a parody.
Paul Bettany loved the shooting WandaVision in front of a live studio audience. “We were all so high in the end that we wanted to continue the show. Maybe on tour or something. WandaVision on hold, “he said. While a live stage show is out of the question, one wonders if there will be more vision in the future of the MCU, which Bettany has addressed. Obviously, he can’t reveal too much, but he has admitted that he would like to return to the character.
When Marvel boss Kevin Feige called Paul Bettany to discuss WandaVisionThe actor initially thought he was going to be fired. “So my contract was up and I got a call from Kevin Feige who said, ‘Can you come to the office?’ And when the boss calls you and tells you to come over to the office when your contract expires, you know what that means, “Bettany recalled in a new interview. In the end, he was shown a TV show and immediately said yes. Thanks you can check out the behind-the-scenes feature above the official Marvel Entertainment YouTube Channel.
