The Redmi Note 10 series is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon mid-premium processor, the company has confirmed in a new tweet. Xiaomi launches the Redmi Note 10 series on March 4th. Three phones are expected from the company: the regular Redmi Note 10, the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, just like last year. However, Xiaomi may only be launching two flavors at the event and this is a global launch.
The Redmi Note 10 phones cost less than Rs 20,000 as this is the budget series and it usually makes up most of the volume for Xiaomi. It remains to be seen whether Xiaomi will introduce a 5G option for the Redmi Note 10 phones.
According to Xiaomi’s tweet, the Note 10 phones will feature the “best mid-premium Snapdragon processor of the year”. Although the processor isn’t named according to leaks, the processor is likely the Snapdragon 732G in both the Note 10 Pro and the Pro Max variant. This is not a 5G capable chipset.
While 5G has not yet gained a foothold on the Indian market, many smartphone manufacturers are already offering 5G-enabled smartphones. Realme has just presented the X7 Pro 5G variant, and Xiaomi itself has launched the Mi 10i, which is also 5G-capable. However, the Redmi brand does not yet have a 5G capable phone in the Indian market.
Redmi Note 10, Note 10 Pro, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max: Expected Specifications
Xiaomi has released some specifications for the Redmi Note 10 series. This includes a new “Evolved” design that is a departure from the “Aura” design of the previous Redmi Note 9 phones. The company has also confirmed that the phones are rated IP52 for dust and water resistance.
According to reports, a maximum of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space are offered on the Redmi Note 10 Pro. The phones are running Android 11 based on MIUI 12. While the Pro Max variant has a 120 Hz frequency display, it will likely have a 108-megapixel camera and the Pro a 64-megapixel camera.
Last year the Pro Max had a 64MP camera and the regular version had a 48MP camera. The Redmi Note 10 Pro and Pro Max variants are supplied with a 5050 mAh battery, depending on the leak.
