As the fans know by now Zendaya and John David Washington worked hard even during the pandemic last year, shooting the romantic black and white film ‘Malcolm and Marie’ with the help of Euphoria creator Sam Levinson. It was all done in secret and now the actress opened in a new interview with E! News.
That was not all! Zendaya also touched on the controversy surrounding her and John David Washington’s age difference and more!

John told the news agency in the same interview: “I didn’t know what the industry would be like [during the pandemic]. I didn’t know if I would have the opportunity to do what I love to do, which is to act. ‘
But Sam, the film’s writer and director, made sure the opportunity arose, and Zendaya stated that they had created a “bubble-like” environment to keep working while protecting from the virus.
“Sometimes when you don’t see the roles you want, sometimes you need to be involved in creating them. I’m grateful Sam wrote this film for us,” said the actress.

Regarding the age difference between Zendaya, 24, and John, 36, she emphasized that she was all adults.
In reality it is all because socialmediagossips have been able to see her on their screens since their youth that they are so deterred to see her in such roles.
“I’ve played a 16 year old since I was 16. You also have to remember that as a kid, socialmediagossips grew up with me. It’s like watching your younger siblings see you now, you know, they are all grown up … So socialmediagossips have a hard time getting into the idea that I grew up in real life. You know, even though I still play a teenager on TV. ‘
Make sure to check out Malcolm and Marie Netflix from February 5th!
